From Louisiana to the Lowlands
Dr. Roxanne Benoit-Raine, here together with her husband Wes and their cat Jupiter, says about her stay in the Netherlands, `I've really liked living here.' The flat landscape, sometimes at or below sea level, is similar to the surroundings in her hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana in the United States. `When I look out the window on the train, it looks just like driving on the back country roads in Louisiana. It looks just like home.'
