Opnieuw vertraging Studielink

De invoering van het landelijke studentenadministratiesysteem Studielink loopt opnieuw vertraging op. De Universiteit Twente heeft zich tijdelijk teruggetrokken, Groningen en Delft stellen de invoering uit en de Vrije Universiteit twijfelt. Agapè over naar Navigators

De christelijke studentenvereniging Agapè - Grieks voor naastenliefde - die al ruim dertig jaar in Enschede bestaat, gaat binnenkort van naam veranderen. De ongeveer zeventig leden zullen nog voor de zomer officieel deel uitmaken van `Navigators studentenvereniging Enschede' (NSE), waarmee ze aansluiten bij een landelijk netwerk van christelijke studentenclubs.

For chairman Wilma Dierkes, her motivation to chair the Female Faculty Network Twente is not as she says a purely `charity-driven' act. Speaking with her female colleaugues some years back she realized that: `Most of them struggled with gender-related prejudices and they were eager to have a platform whereby they can rebut these prejudices.' A new generation of computer-savvy Tanzanians are eager and waiting to work with new technologies. Nihuka wants to help make educational changes for students, `I look forward to designing computer-media instructions and using the advantages of technology to put courses online.'
