First delegation to The Hague
Much debate but also many social events await the first ever UT delegation to be sent to the World Model United Nations (WMUN), scheduled later this month. At the conference in The Hague, fifteen student delegates from various academic disciplines and representing different nationalities will be taking part. Delegates will debate for five days about world problems, such as global climate change. The WMUN in The Hague promises to be a truly international experience with 1,600 delegates from all over the world. Since January, the delegation has been preparing for the conference, concentrating on Iceland and Micronesia. The Twente United Nations Association (TUNA) was founded by five UT students. With the support of the International Office, students are planning for conferences in Greece, Italy, Croatia and Germany. Students or staff members can become a part of the association.
