Hungry Planet exhibition
Why is our planet hungry? Peter Menzel, a freelance photojournalist, traveled across the world to take photographs of the daily life of families in 24 countries. The Hungry Planet: What the World Eats exhibition details each family's weekly food purchases. With his lense, Menzel has captured startingly images, offering a vivid portrait of the vast differences between the world's poor and rich. A lecture will be given as part of the opening on February 11, presented by guest lecturerer Michiel Korthals, a professor of Applied Philosphy at Wageningen Univerisity.
