A woman brings her family back to her childhood home, where she opens an orphanage for handicapped children. Her son starts to communicate with an invisible friend and disappears shortly after. 105 min. Spanish with either Dutch or English subtitles.

Jan. 21 The Darjeeling Limited (USA, 2007) Dir. Wes Anderson. Drama/Comedy. Three American brothers start a `spiritual quest' to find themselves and bond with each other. Their train voyage across India veers rapidly off-course and the brothers find themselves stranded in the middle of the desert. Starring Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody and Bill Murray. 91 min. English with Dutch subtitles.

Jan. 28 Chung Hing sam lam (Hong Kong Express) (Hong Kong, 1994) Dir. Wong Kar-Wai. Drama/Comedy. Two love stories about lovelorn cops. The object of desire of the first one is a big-time heroin dealer, the other's a waitress. Beautifully colored cinematography makes this film a sight to behold. 102 min. Japanese/Cantonese/English with either English or Dutch subtitles.

Feb. 4 Leef! (Live!) (Netherlands, 2005) Dir. Willem van de Sande Bakhuyzen. Drama. Anna starts writing again after a colleague and a friend ask her to, but she has not accounted for the consequences of her family and friends reading her stories. Won the Audience Award at the Dutch Film Festival 2005. 130 min. Dutch, no subtitles.
