It is an out-and-out vegetarian restaurant that doesn't have so much to offer in terms of variety, but more than makes up for it in terms of the overall dining experience. To enjoy a special menu, pay a visit on Thursdays, preferably with a prior reservation.
About seventy percent of the world's vegetarians live in India. It is only natural that a couple of Indian cuisine-based restaurants figure here. `Taj Mahal', an Indian restaurant, was recently selected as the nicest restaurant in Hengelo (www.Tajmahal-hengelo.nl). It offers a host of vegetarian main courses as well as side dishes, much akin to `Bombay Spice' (www.Bombayspice.nl), another Indian cuisine-based restaurant in Hengelo. In both these restaurants, the spiciness of the dishes varies from Indian hot to mild and tailor-made dishes to suit the tastes of customers.
Any attempt to write about vegan eateries demands for a more comprehensive investigation; it is not easy to find an eatery that offers dishes without any form of animal or dairy products.
