On Thursday 8 November, the Female Faculty Network Twente (FFNT) will be holding their third annual conference at the hotel de Broeierd , which is located close to the UT campus (Hengelosestraat 725).

The main goal of the conference is to raise awareness for both men and woman about the impact of diversity on the quality of organizations. Everyone is welcome to attend the morning session that will begin at 9:00am. Guest speakers will include: Dr. Anne Flierman, Prof. dr. E.R. Seydel, Irene van Geest-Jacobs and Esther Mollema. Closing remarks will be given by Dr. Wilma Dierkes, chairman of the FFNT.

The ankle injuries of former professional footballer Marco van Basten, who is the subject of the recently released series BASTA, are at the centre of research by UT and Amsterdam UMC. The researchers are working on new methods to detect ankle damage at an earlier stage.
