Free use of facilities for UT employees

The Xtra-card for free use of sports and cultural facilities is now also available for UT employees. Three weeks ago, this message was sent in a letter sent to all employees, but was withdrawn because of obscurities regarding the exact use of the card. Those issues have now been cleared-up. Employees can now make use of sports and cultural facilities free of charge, when they show their employee card.

UT employees, who have already paid their annual or semi-annual contribution, will get a refund. They don't need to take an extra action. The Personnel Department has reached an agreement with the Student Union on the free of charge employee offer and has made money available.

The Xtra-card has the advantage that employees can use the fitness room, swimming pool and sports facilities, outside of the company sport hours. Tennis is free and reduced prices apply for cultural shows and participation in sport courses. People can also enrol as members in the various associations the UT has to offer.
