Queen Beatrix will visit the UT together with German Bundespräsident Horst Köhler and his wife on Wednesday, October 10. The party will talk with members of the Euregio council in the Horst building. The visit to the UT is part of a three-day state visit by the German President to the Netherlands. Also planned are visits to The Hague and Rotterdam. The queen and her entourage will arrive Wednesday morning around 11 am with three helicopters on the field along the Drienerlolaan.

Studentenwoningmarkt in Enschede relatief ontspannen

Terwijl er landelijk een tekort is van zo’n twintigduizend studentenwoningen, blijkt daar in Enschede geen sprake van te zijn. Dat laat de gemeente Enschede weten in een reactie. ‘Enschede groeit, we verwachten dat de vraag gaat toenemen.’

The ankle injuries of former professional footballer Marco van Basten, who is the subject of the recently released series BASTA, are at the centre of research by UT and Amsterdam UMC. The researchers are working on new methods to detect ankle damage at an earlier stage.
