The TCP (Taalcoördinatiepunt) is organizing a workshop for final-year PhD students who are preparing to deliver the introductory presentation and the defense of their dissertation in English.
Taught in English, the workshop aims to increase students’ confidence and competency in using the English language and to increase English communication and verbal skills, with the specific goal of effective delivery of a PhD thesis presentation. The course focuses on confidence in English fluency. Besides assessment and evaluation for the defense introductory presentation practice delivery, group participation will also be included. For those students who need additional help in pronunciation, there is an option of two extra one-hour sessions.
