He has been running his shop for the past 14 years and sells anything and everything that deals with optical instruments, including both analog and digital cameras, lenses, binoculars, films, projectors and even microscopes. His collection of cameras is simply astounding. The oldest in his collection is a camera dating back to the 1880s. But he also has the latest cameras and lenses from reputable brands like Canon and Nikon to the most expensive Hasselblad. Not all of them are second-hand, but he claims that he can help you get a good bargain even on these new models. In the rare event that you come up with a particular model or brand which he does not have in his mammoth collection, he can always order it for you.

In addition, Ploeg stocks spare parts and accessories for all the cameras and lenses like lens caps, flashes, tripods and carrying bags. If you already own a camera and would like to get it repaired or are interested in selling it, he can help you with that, too. In short, his shop meets all your camera needs.

But the most interesting aspect of the shop is the man himself. His knowledge and passion for cameras is infectious. Drop in at Korte Haaksbergerstraat17, 7511 JV, Enschede for a good bargain. Even if you end up not buying a camera, you will definitely come out a more camera-enlightened person.
