This week a number of cultural courses from the spring programme has started, but it is still possible to join. A choice: drawing and painting, silk-screen printing, creative welding, make your own furniture, sculpture in clay and other materials, black and white photography, singing, Argentinian tango, African dance, Tai Chi, and Dutch for foreigners. A new course is 'playing the carillon'. To be able to join the course you have to be able to play the piano or organ. In 12 lessons Peter Bremer will teach the basic principles and skills needed to play the UT-carillon. After completing the course it is possible to join the Campusbeiaardkring, the UT carillon society.
For more information check out the course brochure, or www.utwente.nl/disc/ukdisc/cultuur/info-cultuur.html. To register contact the Vrijhof Culture Centre, tel. 053 4894400.
The eighth edition of the 4TU Career Special is out! This week, twelve thousand copies will land on the doormats of an equal number of alumni from the four technical universities. A special feature of this publication is the COMMIT insert of the Materiel and IT Command of the Ministry of Defence.
You’ll also find stories about alumni and start-up entrepreneurs. The opening article focuses on the national alumni survey, and you can read tips and tricks on salary negotiations.
