This same country, Ireland, also plays a lead role in the evening at 20.15 in a special theatre monologue by the Norwegian Gunhild Marie Roald. She will perform clear evensong music from the Ste Mary's Abbey in Glencairn. Prayers, poems, violin music. A unique mix of a range of genres, based on catholic rituals and on Norwegian and Irish folk music. This Irish journey garnered a lot of praise in Norway where Gunhild performed in churches, jazz clubs and theatres. The songs are in English, the stories in Norwegian; the public will get an English textbook.
Monday, 29 January, 20.15 hr, Amphitheater Vrijhof, f 7.50/f 4.
