TW faculty in portacabins

In all probability the TW faculty will move to a number of poratcabins very soon. Before the summer the mathematicians should have made room for Industrial Engineering and Management (TBK). TBK's accommodation in the BB-building will become the new housing for the communication service CenT and a few other services. CenT is still lodged in the Boerderij, but that needs to be readied for UT-Catering. Which is still in the Bastille and has to move out to make way for the Student Union. TW agrees to this if it is made clear that there is no other solution. After staying over in portacabins the faculty will probably find permanent accommodation in Hal V of the WB-building, which needs to be renovated. TW wants the Board of Governors (CvB) to decide on this before the move is set in motion.

In an open letter to the CvB, published in UT-Nieuws last week, the faculty's employee council (or 'Faculteitsraad') protests the decision-making process and makes clear that it feels that the dean of the faculty has been too submissive to the CvB. It feels that TW should not co-operate with this double move before the CvB has followed the correct procedure, and consulted and properly informed the parties concerned.
