This month the Alliance Francaise Twente fetes its 90th birthday. Since 1911 the organization has functioned socially, culturally, and economically as a link between the Netherlands and its neighbor, France. To celebrate its anniversary and in conjunction with the Universiteit Twente's 40th birthday, AFT will host a program on November 14 highlighting the ever-evolving relationship between France

This month the Alliance Francaise Twente fetes its 90th birthday. Since 1911 the organization has functioned socially, culturally, and economically as a link between the Netherlands and its neighbor, France. To celebrate its anniversary and in conjunction with the Universiteit Twente's 40th birthday, AFT will host a program on November 14 highlighting the ever-evolving relationship between France and the Netherlands. The lingua franca will be Dutch.

UT students invited by ESA to test octopus-inspired robot arm

A group of UT bachelor’s students was selected by the European Space Agency’s academy programme, to work on a project with an octopus-inspired tentacle that can remove space debris. This November, the team called RobOcto, is invited to test their prototype at the ESA ESTEC facility in Noordwijk.

Een groep UT-bachelorstudenten is geselecteerd voor het academieprogramma van de European Space Agency (ESA). Ze werken aan een op een octopus geïnspireerde tentakel die ruimteafval kan verwijderen. In november mag het team, genaamd RobOcto, zijn prototype testen bij ESA ESTEC in Noordwijk.

Kabinet: miljoenen extra voor bouw studentenkamers

De regering trekt tientallen miljoenen uit voor de bouw van studentenkamers. Dat staat in een nieuw ‘actieplan’ dat de woningbouw in beweging moet krijgen.

UT kent vier eredoctoraten toe

De Universiteit Twente reikt op vrijdag 27 november, ter ere van haar 65-jarige bestaan, vier eredoctoraten uit. De eervolle toekenningen gaan naar UT-alumnus Martin van den Brink, Marjolein Demmers van Natuur & Milieu, professor Molly Stevens van Oxford University en econoom Klaus Deininger.

Na corona gaan studenten weer vaker naar buitenland voor deel van studie

Bijna een kwart van de gediplomeerden in het hbo en wo heeft een deel van de studie in het buitenland gedaan, blijkt uit nieuwe cijfers van het CBS. Nu het weer kan gaan ze vaker over de grens studeren.
