Huize Beurd

Enschede student house Huize Beurd and the Anti-Discrimination Bureau Overrijssel (ADB) have asked the Dutch Equal Treatment Commission (CGB) to pronounce judgment on the much-discussed advertisement in which Huize Beurd was looking for new residents. It said that foreign and AKI students need not respond. The ADB reported it to the police, but after discussing the case extensively with the police, both parties decided to bring the case before the commission. It is up to the CGB to pass judgment on it. It is still unclear when that will be.

Only around one in eight UT students and staff feel sufficiently supported when experiencing menstrual health issues. This is according to a survey conducted before the summer by lecturers Dipti K. Sarmah and Mahboobeh Zangiabady from the Faculty of EEMCS.
