No More Part Time Feminism
To celebrate International Women's Day, the Female Faculty Network Twente, OBP Women's Network and the Studium Generale have joined forces to bring Heleen Mees to the UT. Mees, now resident in New York, works as an advisor on European Union affairs. She is a lawyer, economist and columnist, as well as the author of No More Part Time Feminism! This book about women, ambition and careers, consists of a collection of her columns in which she lashes out at the traditional female role of child-carer and part-time employee. In her lecture she will cover topics like the popularity of the one-and-a-half breadwinner model in the Netherlands, its influence on the position of women within organisations, and recommendations on getting more women to the top. The lecture is open to the entire UT community. For reservations send an email to ffnt@utwente.nl
