Unraveling the financial crisis
Dr. Shawn Donnelly, a specialist in international and European financial regulation and coordinator of the European Studies track Regulation, Europe and Innovation, will give a lecture on the current financial crisis on December 17. His theme entitled, `Political Responses to the Unfolding Financial Crisis: The Return of the State,' will focus in part on how national governments try to limit the impact of the crisis, and how this is coordinated on an international level. Following the presentation, a discussion will be led by Professor Ramses Wessel. The meeting, organized by the Department of Legal and Economic Governance Studies and the Centre for European Studies, will be conducted in English.
